What You Resist, Persists

We all have parts of ourselves that we’re afraid to show other people. Fear, shame, guilt, OCD, anxiety, self doubt, emptiness, etc, etc, etc. I’ve been there. Some days I still am there. I didn’t want to feel those things. I’d fight them as hard as I could, running, shopping, eating, burning those bridges like it’s my J-O-B, intellectualizing, you name it! “Coping skills” till the ’s come . They were (are ) all just attempts to fight that fight of pushing down what needed to be seen.

In keeping them hidden, pushing it all down, pretending it’s not there or wishing it away, we stay out of connection to ourselves and to others

Surrender to the experience of what is. LEAN IN!! When we embrace and accept alllllll the parts of ourselves and allow ourselves permission to be who we are, and need what we need, we are led to the light

Im still learning how to be brave enough to loosen up the grip and surrender. But each time I do, I begin to trust myself a little bit more. There is self love at the end of the resistance

"If you want to become whole, let yourself be partial. If you want to become straight, allow yourself to be crooked. If you want to be full, allow yourself to be empty.”
